Innovation has been a key feature of Severn Partnership’s vision and approach over the past 25 years, driven by the changing need of our customers and delivered through the expertise of a our greatest asset, our people and our commitment to continuing professional development.

Innovation does not just happen, it needs to be planned and actively managed, so at Severn Partnership we build innovation into our core business processes.

We start each project by asking the simplest question, “How can we do the same job again, better and more efficiently” and this approach provides immediate benefits to our customers and ensures that they return to us with their next measurement project.

Members of the team are allocated watching briefs on key areas of technology and report back regularly to management meetings on opportunities for its application. We then incorporate the best ideas into our business development planning process.

We also participate in all the major technical conferences and have established links with Universities and research institutions who are working at the frontiers of technological development.

Once we have “hit the target” we like to stretch our goals even further so we have extended our diversification programme to look beyond our customers current requirements to their likely future needs. This is the level of focus on innovative ideas that we strive to deliver.

After 25 years we are not sitting back on our laurels, and recognise that every now and again we have to cut off our escape route in order to develop completely new ideas. Our commitment to innovation is total and there is no question of us not succeeding.
