3D Modelling
3D modelling is the process of developing a mathematical, wireframe representation of any three-dimensional object. The end product is called a 3D model, which can be displayed as a two-dimensional rendered image, an animation (AVI file), or as 3D wireframes/solid faces within a software package such as AutoCAD.

Simple 3D models can be constructed from a standard topographical survey, the digital terrain model (DTM) which underlies a contour plot. Models can than progress in complexity depending upon the source data and time available to complete the work. The level of detail required determines the techniques used to gather source data to model.

Data sources:
  • Topographical survey data
  • Photogrammetric data
  • Measured building plans
  • Laser scan point clouds
Our software includes:

Industry standard software:  AutoCAD 2008
Modelling from Point clouds:  Cyclone, AutoCAD Cloudworx, Pointools Pro,
3D Modelling:  Rhino, Sketchup Pro, Cyclone
