GIS Data Capture

A Geographic Information System (GIS) is a computer-based system for storing, analyzing, and displaying map and database information. The defining characteristic is the ability to link attribute data to spatial data and then create queries from the database to analyse the data.

We can collate source data for entry into a GIS database, providing:
  • High quality digital Photogrammetry (ortho-rectified raster images)
  • Digital terrain or elevation models (DTM or DEM)
  • Geo-referenced survey data with attributes
  • Sourcing ordnance survey digital data
  • Creating closed vector polygons of discreet features

Geo-referenced survey data can be collected by:

  • Conventional topographical survey
  • RTK GPS observations
  • Handheld Garmin GPS for high speed, low accuracy, large volume datasets
