Clearoute Sections

When rail surveys involve amendments to the alignment of track, Network Rail usually specify the provision of clearoute ‘sco’ files. Clearoute ‘sco’ files are an ascii text file format for checking that the envelope of a train is clear from any given obstruction.

Obstructions may be retaining walls, bridges, tunnels, signals or any fixed structure that may clash with the passage of a train.

We can supply clearance profiles in ‘sco’ file clearoute format for use by track alignment design engineers. We employ a number of different survey techniques and office based data processing routines to compute the data and are proficient in the field at identifying potential clearance issues (specified or un-specified).

Please call if you require further information, or assistance in putting together a tender.
