Overhead Line Equipment (OHLE)
  
Severn Partnership have invested in the full range of specialist equipment necessary to capture survey detail on the overhead electrification cables used on many main line routes in the UK. We can carry out a full heights and stagger survey with detail including:
  • Contact wires
  • Catenary wires
  • Return cables
  • Boom heights
  • Stove pipes
  • Tension cables
  • Cant and gauge readings

Alternative survey options are also available where we survey the OHLE detail by reflectorless survey methods to create cross sections at gantries and midspans, elevations or full 3D wireframe models of the gantries and wire alignments. This approach can be useful where restricted track access is an issue, or where S&C or third rails hamper the source data acquisition.
